Fiber–To–The–Home (FTTH) Network Infrastructure:
Fiber to the home (FTTH) is the deployment and utilization of optical fiber cables from a central point (Gram Panchayats / Blocks) directly to individual buildings, such as government offices / hospitals / educational institutes / residences / apartment buildings, etc for provisioning high-speed connectivity. With the use of light signals, optical fiber transmits data to achieve greater performance. FTTH encompasses a range of PONs, splitters and PTP Ethernet-based solutions. This technology offers higher speeds of connectivity, which are many more times significantly faster than old type cable modems or DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) connections.
PONs are commonly utilized in FTTH implementations due to their cost-effectiveness and superior performance. The network topology of PONs typically consists of an optical line terminal (OLT) situated at GP / Block level, optical network terminals (ONTs) located at the end-user’s premises, and an optical distribution network (ODN) positioned between the OLT and ONT. The ODN serves to split and distribute the signal travelling along the PON.

The fiber would be linked to the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) located in the offices/residences. The CPE would be installed and commissioned, and the fiber laid from the point of presence (PoP) to the CPE would be tested to ensure the successful commissioning of the last mile connectivity to the Government offices/residences, etc.
